Whether you have served as a bartender in the past, are an aspiring bartender, or would simply like to learn a few bar tending skills, our Assistant Bartender Volunteer program is a great way to help out the American Legion while learning under the guidance of one of our clubroom bartenders.
As an Assistant Bartender, you will be assigned a Clubroom Bartender who will show you the basics of serving beer, wine, and food. You will learn proper food handling procedures, and how to work the Clubroom’s Point of Sale system. Most importantly, you will serve as an important member of the American Legion Clubroom hospitality team, welcoming our customers, veterans and guests, to the Clubroom, and helping to create a pleasant and mutually supportive social environment.
If you have already spoken with one of our Clubroom Bartenders, and are ready to get started, all you need to do is click the button under the next section, “Ready to Volunteer? Check out the schedule to sign up” to select your first shift. We will assign a seasoned Clubroom Bartender to your shift to get you up and running.
If you have not yet spoken to one of our Clubroom Bartenders and are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please skip to the “Contact Us” section at the bottom of this page, enter your contact information, and one of our Clubroom Bartenders will contact you to provide detailed information and answer your questions.
Alternatively, you can always stop by in person and chat with a member of our Bartending Staff (and perhaps bring a few friends along to enjoy some food and drink too!)
Please come out and volunteer to join our American Legion Clubroom Bartender team as an Assistant Bartender! Meet new people, learn the ropes, and give back to our community. We look forward to seeing you behind the Clubroom bar soon!
