Bartenders and Assistant Bartenders
Volunteer to work as a bartender or start as an assistant bartender guided by a regular clubroom bartender. Serve drinks, interact with veterans, and assist with running the bar.
The volunteer clubroom bartenders are responsible for members and bar staff compliance with other Post 24 rules, and ABC, Virginia Department of Health, and other legal requirements applicable to the Clubroom and its members within the Clubroom. Each volunteer has passed the VA Food Handler certification and has been fully training in clubroom procedures. Come stop by the Clubroom and talk to a bartender for more information.
Kitchen Assistants
Volunteer to work in the kitchen to cook or prepare food for Taco Tuesdays, Wingman Wednesday, and other special events.
All volunteer kitchen assistants are responsible for compliance with Post 24 rules, Virginia Department of Health, and other applicable food safety regulations. Each volunteer has passed the VA Food Handler certification and has been fully training in clubroom procedures. Cleaning of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial
On Saturdays, during the summer, please join us in our monthly cleaning of the American Veterans Disabled for Life (AVDL) Memorial in Washington, DC.
Meet at 0730 hours at 214 2nd St SE, Washington, DC. The National Park Service provides tools and supplies. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
