We are always looking for volunteers to assist with the various tasks of running a non-profit volunteer clubroom. Some individuals assist weekly some monthly, and some work behind the scenes as needed. Everything from nightly bartenders to cooks for special events and so much more!
To meet health and ABC regulations, each shift must have an individual who has the minimum certification of Food Handler on record at the Clubroom. Anyone interested in being in charge of a Clubroom shift should watch the 90 minute video online and pass the 40 question quiz to obtain the Food Handler certification. See instructions below.
The volunteer clubroom bartenders, assistant bartender, and all food handlers must be a Virginia Certified Food Handler and will supply a copy of said certification within 60 days, which will be reimbursable by the clubroom. [Online training: Servsafe, Food Handler $15.00] All are also welcome to take the expanded Manager certification instead of the Handler certification.
The Clubroom Managers must have a Virginia Certified Food Protection Manager certification and will supply a copy of said certification and be registered with the Alexandria Health Department upon employment within 60 days, which will be reimbursable by the clubroom.
